The Ross Bridge Community

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

Hi everyone and Happy Holidays

I went to a very nice Christmas Party the other day that was given at the Ross Bridge Golf Resort  and Spa in Hoover, Alabama.   WOW is all I can say.  By me not being too interested in golf  I  really had not heard of this place but, you know what  the people who golf or should I say the professional golfers really got it going on. LOL

Walking into this place was just breath taking.   They had ginger bread houses all over the place that were just fantastic.  Check  out some of the pictures I took.

A Great Marble Fudge Cake

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

This is a great Marble Fudge Cake that my brother Doug made.  And guess what it’s totally out of the box.  The one thing about my brother is he loves to cook and will not hesitate to change something.  And that’s just what he did when he make this cake.

The cake was so light and fluffy but, it had a taste all of it’s own.  It’s funny cause I really didn’t believe Doug when he told me Angela this is not my normal cake but, I wanted to make you some type of chocolate cake cause that’s what you said you like and after asking him three times, he finally told me it was a box cake.

Friday is Salmon Patties

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

You know I had heard that in the south, they eat things like fried chicken and salmon patties for breakfast.  Well guess what it’s true.  I wasn’t up when Rose fixed this meal but,  I was in total heaven when I ate.  I thought my salmon patties were good no way, I couldn’t touch hers with a stick.

Roses recipe is only different by two ingredient from a recipe that I posted a while back.  You can check it out at  Affordable Meals Under $10.00 (Day 1)  then, you can see the difference in the ingredients that were used in Roses dish and in my dish.  In my opinion, the Salmon Patties that Rose made just taste so much different  and they seemed to be a lot more fluffier.

Meatloaf: Roses Way

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

My sister-in-law Rose cooked up some meatloaf that was out of this world.  I really just ate myself silly that’s how good it was.  There is quite a difference of taste between the North and the South so, I feel like I’m getting great hands on training right here.  If ever I felt that the food was cooked with plenty of love, I really do now.  So, let’s get started with this recipe it will blow your mind.

Ingredients

1 cup bread crumbs

1/2 cup BBQ Sauce

1 Tablespoon Worcester Sauce

2 Eggs

Welcome To Alabama

Saturday, December 12th, 2009

Hey everyone I finally made it to  Alabama.  The weather is great nothing like the weather in Michigan.  Speaking of Michigan, it’s really really cold.  The people here are so friendly and everyone speaks to you.  One day, the temperature was 63 really nice for this time of year.  Today, it’s kind of cold but, I know it will warm up one day.

My first night the sirens went off because of a tornado and I was sleep and not understanding what was going on so, we all had to go into the one room that didn’t have any windows so, I guess this was my welcome Lol.  I’m really looking forward to living here number one, the weather is awesome and I really don’t want to deal with the cold anymore.
