Cooking Lady’s Etouffeé

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Hi guys, hope everyone got some rest after eating  and shopping  during their four day weekend.  As for me, I’ve just been packing and throwing out and giving away.  Today, it’s cold and raining, one of those days that you don’t want to go out.  I’m so tired of packing I thought I would take some time out and create what my taste buds were yakking about.

I was having a taste for some Etouffeé so I took the last of the shrimp and some andouille sausage  and decided to see what I could come up with.  Normally, when I know what I want and I’m trying to be creative, it comes out pretty good.

Thanksgiving With My Family

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

This Thanksgiving is a sad and a happy for me. I’ll be leaving next weekend to travel to what might become my new home. Both my children Alicia and Jordan are grown and doing their own thing so, I guess it’s time for me to do mine.

I was suppose to already have been gone but, decided to stay and cook and be here for my granddaughter’s birthday which is the 28th. Our dinner this year was small but just enough for us because I didn’t want to waste anything. I’ve really been having a hard time getting packed I didn’t know I had so much stuff in all these corners. Anyway, back to the menu. I really like cooking Cornish hens because they are quick and easy.
